so sorry about not posting for... omg... 15 days... even though i promised :-P...
what... so sue me....
well you see.... im just plain lazy...
anyways
its that time of the year when all recently passed out students start applying for college..
i was the same last year...
so why do i talk about it a year later...
well you see.... i have volunteered for it...
today was the first day of the admission process of one of the largest and most aclaimed Universities in India; Delhi University. So there i was, in my college, which FYI, is the best college for arts and commerce courses. So i had volunteered for duty. And it is today that i saw how everyone can, from the moment they enter the college, feel so helpless. So make them feel not so helpless me and a few other volunteers took the job to guide the ever so eager potential facchas. (thats freshers how we call it)
I met some wierd people today.. there are some very nervous people out there apart from the usual lot of overly hyper people. I had 2 duties today; one in the morning where i had to sell the college yearbook.. well im sure you're wondering who wud buy the yearbook, well so did i, but surprisingly i did make a sale... to an overly eager and enthusiatic father. i mean why would anyone buy a yearbook to a college to which u are just applying and have no clue whether you will get into it. anyways.. so we volunteers were asked not to answer too many queries and instead guide everyone to the counselling room, so this one lady came up to me and asked me whether it was necessary to have eco for sco hons, cuz JMC gives u 5% extra if u do, so i said mam cud u please go to room no. 8 which is the counsellin room, but then she says, not beta first you tell me, and mam kindly proceed to the counselling room, they will answer all your queries, and she goes like, no but first you tell me. I mean hello do you not understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?!
Apart from this, i had fun, met some interesting people, chatted alot with ritika since we both had our duties together. however the only catch is that i have to stay from 9 to 4. but i gues its ok... since i did volunteer.
so i have to keep going for the next 15days. will keep you, my faithful readers updated on further happenings.
