I know you must be wondering as to what exactly is "The Democratic Republic of Duzon"! You see, it is my country! Yes I said that it IS my country.
I stumbled upon a site, thanks to my brother called "Jennifer Goverment: NationStates". This site allows one to create one's very own NationState. Now it is up to you whether you want to establish a tyranny or monarchy or democracy or a communist empire. Its fun! ^_^
Anyway, I decided to make one for myself. As a political scientist, my excitment to create my very own nation could not be contained. And what resulted from this desire was my very own Democratic Republic of Duzon!

The Democratic Republic of Duzon is a tiny, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 18%. A substantial private sector is led by the Trout Farming industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Gambling.
Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Duzon's national animal is the Pheonix and its currency is the Zon.
