Memories of November

hola

It has been over a month since I last posted. And an eventful one month it has been. So much has happened. Where should I begin?!

Starting from the first few days of the month. 2nd was mom's birthday and also my LNAT exam. Exam went great, and we had dinner at a fancy hotel.

Moving along...
On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November was my college fest: LSR Tarang. Seeing as this is my last year in college, it was my, no, me along with my friends, our mission to enjoy our very last tarang to the fullest. And to the fullest we enjoyed indeed!
On the first day, there was not much to do. We ventured into the different events that were happening. We also decided to enter the Graffiti competition. Shivu, along with 2 more girls and I formed a team and surprisingly won 3rd prize. Honestly I was not to happy with what we had done. I wanted to fill the background as well but my team-mates thought otherwise. Still we got 3rd. :P..... Rest of day 1 was ok.
Day two was much better! It was the day of the one competition I wait for: Western Music Competition. I loved every moment I was there. And it was there I realised how much I missed being a part of a choir. In school I used to have so much fun with my friends while practicing for our next competition. Anyway, coming back to Tarang. The WMC rocked. LSR won 1st in the group category and the solo category ^_^
Day 3 was even bigger. The Choreo competition was thrilling. LSR came in 2nd with Venky taking the 1st. Loved it all! Then came the grand finale to the fest: the Rock Show. This year we managed to invite Silk Route and Parikrama. I had previously heard compilations by Silk Route, but none of Parikrama. The LSR band opened the evening with a bang. Silk Route were great as usual. Then came Parikrama. The night became that much more exciting. Perfect!

With Tarang passing away from us, I moved on with life. The next significant happening came only just on the 30th which was the culmination of a month long effort.

I finally managed to get a movie screened for my CDP kids. CDP - Child Development Programme that I am the head of. It is a Project under the National Social Scheme, LSR Branch. Our main activity is teaching the 45 odd kids that come to the LSR campus. But we stand for more than that and that is why I wanted very much to screen a movie for the kids. It was for the first time in CDP history that such an event was organised. And it was a huge success. The kids loved the movie: Hanuman. And everything went by smoothly in the end after all the struggle and hard work. Totally worth it!

November was quite eventful and has left nothing but sweet memories that linger on.

Its funny how one realises the worth of things when they are gone or about to disappear from one's life.
That is exactly what I am going through in my life. College... I will always have fond memories... and in realisation of that fact... we took tons of pics in class ^_^ here....

till next time

nish ^_^
