Here it is; the new Pick of the Month!
This artist is fairly new. I first heard her music through the VH1 - You ought to know! segment. Her first single was Put your records on. Yes, I am indeed refering to Corinne Bailey Rae. Corinne Bailey Rae is a British soul artist. Her music is extremely tasteful and soothing. Her style is a combination of soul, r&b, pop and blues. A little bit like Norah Jones and a little bit like Rie Fu.
I recently bought her self titled album and just have fallen in love with all the songs. At the moment my favourite are Trouble Sleeping, Enchantment and I'd Like To.
Not to say that Like a Star, Butterfly, Call Me When you get This aren't good. All the songs are brilliant with simple yet interesting lyrics.
